Unable to Add Webinar Schedule to Outlook

Issue

Clicking Add to Calendar for Outlook Calendar after registration or in the confirmation email will generate a .tmpl file to download instead of .ics

Cause

The title of the Webinar includes special characters

Resolution

Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox will download the calendar file correctly for Outlook , if Internet Explorer is the only browser you can use, please follow the steps below:

  1. Click Add to Calendar after registration or in the confirmation email
  2. Click Outlook Calendar
  3. Click the drop down arrow to the right of Save
  4. Click Save as
  5. Rename the file by including .ics at the end of the File name
  6. Click Save
  7. Click Retry
  8. Click Open
